Concept Creator – Ciara Power

My name is Ciara and I’m a young chef from Waterford, Ireland.

EachtBia is a concept I have created. I will be sharing my recipes, advice, thoughts and ideas.

As a lover of the world and food, climate change and global food shortages have always grabbed my attention. My interest in the topic grew when I began studying culinary arts and working as a chef.
After a summer of working in New York, my eyes were truly opened to how little humans are doing to revert our actions which are destroying the planet. Nobody even talks about it. It infuriated and confused me.

I decided to make some changes in my own life by completely cutting meat from my diet and significantly reducing my dairy and seafood intake. I began to make more of an effort to use less plastic and other harmful materials too.

I started sharing my veggie meals and sustainable living efforts on Instagram, and would always get significant engagement from other people who were interested. I knew there was an opportunity to create a platform in which people could share their own tips, tricks and veggie recipes. All with the main intention to live better to save the planet.

Through EachtBia I hope we can learn from each other and work together to make a difference.

Recipe Creator – Hanna Mathe

Hi there all you lovely people, for those of you unfamiliar with me, my name is Hanna and I am an eager foodie.

Before you all start guessing that I am Russian/Slovakian judging by the picture(yes..they are the usual guesses..) I am originally Hungarian but have been living in this beautiful country for 11 years now. Being 20 years old I am currently halfway through a 4 year Culinary Arts course in WIT, Waterford Ireland.

I have just returned from Budapest following 5 months of work in a Michelin star restaurant.I am lucky to say I’ve gained a massive insight into real food and inspiration from the amazing city and all of its food markets, sustainable foodie gatherings, vegan bistros/restaurants and of course its people. I myself have previously been vegetarian for a year and am currently looking to transition into a vegan lifestyle. Hopefully we can go into all the reasons why I would want to do such a thing in a public discussion on EachtBia!

I hope to share several recipes..quotes..personal experiences and life lessons regarding us,the planet and food with all of you very soon! Here’s to hoping we can all collectively learn from each other!
